The month of March 2018 had use leaving the Las Vegas area, but before we did we headed over to the Mojave National Preserve and also met up with some fellow RVers who showed us the benefits of boondocking at Government Wash on Lake Mead. We enjoyed it so much that I ordered and installed some solar panels, upgraded batteries and inverter so that we could dry camp (no hookups) as long as we wanted. It payed for itself in just a couple of months since we could camp for free.
We then headed to La Verkin, Utah where we boondocked for our visit to Zion National Park.
The southwest in particular is very boondocking friendly as there are a lot of public lands.
