February had us leaving from San Diego (where we saw one of the best sunsets we’ve seen to date) and heading over to Joshua Tree National Park. Our next stop was Los Angeles to see the Hollywood sign, Hollywood Boulevard and the Griffith Observatory. That same day we headed over to Venice Beach to meet up with some friends from our home town (who lived there at the time).
Left Los Angeles and headed up to San Bernardino where we visited the first McDonald’s museum. Bakersfield was our next city as we were headed north to Sequoia National Park and Yosemite National Park. Unfortunately we were too early in the season and the parks were mainly closed. So we made an executive decision and headed to Las Vegas (I had never been).
