In late 2024 I purchased a new toy. A SeeStar S50 smart telescope. It’s inexpensive, small and as you can see in the images below, does a fantastic job of capturing deep space objects.
The trick is in the post processing using standalone software. I bought Pixinsight for processing. It has a big learning curve but does a fantastic job. It’s the de facto standard for a reason I suppose.
I’ve captured more objects than these but these are my favorites from last year. Hopefully I get a lot more imaging time in this year.
